Awesome Developer Wanted!
We’re on the lookout for a charismatic, hard-working individual to join our Leeds office as a PHP Web Developer.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step up in their career as a developer. We’re looking for a highly skilled individual who will be working on a range of projects and helping us evolve our development offering. It will also involve scoping development work, plus taking ownership of projects as the technical lead.
We’re essentially looking for someone who is great with PHP, but also has an appreciation for the frontend too (so basically a Full Stack Developer but with a ‘backend lean’).
Here’s our wish list – we’d love to hear from you if you’re able to tick a good number of these boxes!
- You’d regard yourself as a Full Stack Developer but with a backend lean.
- Extensive knowledge of PHP and PHP frameworks
- In-depth understanding of responsive frontend frameworks, modern responsive development practices (GIT-based version control, Grunt, Gulp, Webpack), and component driven architecture such as BEM.
- Solid understanding of the underlying technologies that drive frameworks and libraries, i.e. SASS, React, Vue.
- Ability to set up full local development environments: WAMP/LAMP configuration, framework and package installation, set up of build tools, database configuration, etc.
- A good working knowledge and experience of using Content Management Systems such as Magento and WordPress.
- Good working knowledge of servers and supporting infrastructure, including web services such as Apache, nginx, MySQL, caching services (Redis, Memcached, etc), CDNs, et al.
- A proven track record in full end-to-end website development and management.
- Excellent self-management practices with a meticulous attention to detail.
- A ZEAL for development! Continuously striving to keep up-to-speed with the latest technologies out there.
