But first, what is Zeal Connect and how did we get here?

I’ll start by saying, I know some bloody extraordinary people.

Probably the greatest pleasure in my career has been meeting and working with all kinds of unbelievably talented people. 

I’m talking about mentors, advisors, colleagues, friends, and professionals of the highest order.

Without these people, their wisdom and generosity, Zeal (myself included) would not be where we are today. 

One thing you learn from starting a business is just how much help and advice you need on things outside of the things you actually do.

Accounting, legal stuff, funding, HR, recruitment, logistics, branding, marketing, development, the list goes on and on.

Another thing you learn is just how willing people are to help each other when you get over yourself and just reach out.

As an agency that works with lots of startups, we find ourselves at this intersection of founders and their challenges all the time.

At this point, I find myself recommending people from my wider network on an almost daily basis.

After over a decade of ‘doing’, my network had become in a way a little black book for (almost) anything a startup might need to grow and prosper.

We knew there was something in this that could help more founders than just the ones we work with. 

We didn’t want to monetise it, but we did want to make it a thing, and Zeal Connect was born – a support network of experts and advisors that startups could call upon for all areas of business. 

Two years in, we’ve grown a lot, even hosting dinners and social events for business leaders to trade services, share experiences and inspire new ideas in a relaxed, non-stuffy environment – more of those to come!

And now we have the app, we enter the most exciting phase yet.

Founders can now submit their questions to us from anywhere, and browse (what will be) a whole library of articles, podcasts, and videos from businesses on the network. With loads more functionality in the pipeline.
