I have been in development for over 14 years now and still every day is a school day. Everyday I’m faced with a puzzle that I can get my teeth into and create a solution for. I have worked with some great people and great brands in my time and hope to continue to produce great work.
My path to becoming a developer is a windy one. I started out doing an art foundation course after my A-levels. It doesn’t sound too weird until I tell you I did Maths, Physics and Chemistry which is a bit of a change, but it doesn’t stop there.
After my year as an artist I decided to go to University and do 3D motion graphics degree but after my first year I found the web and started playing with flash and html. Tables where all the rage back then. Once I started working in action script I haven’t really looked back. My progression led me to PHP and all the technologies I am using today.
If I’m not writing code I enjoy going to the gym, playing squash, unfortunately only watching rugby these days and snowboarding. It’s a good job Zeal is full of snow loving folk.
