I started my marketing career client side which although wasn’t for me did give me an insight into some of the frustration clients face. It’s not as easy as some agency people think! My first agency experience was offline media planning and buying and after only a week in the business I knew that agencies were where I wanted to spend the rest of my career. As the online advertising opportunities grew so did my interest in it and I joined a digital agency. Here I got hands on experience of all things digital and technological working across all channels including PPC, SEO and display. I moved to one of the largest agencies outside of London as an Online account director to increase my exposure to big brands and budget and spent the next couple of years deepening my strategic knowledge of online and how it integrates with all other media. The decision to start Zeal was easy. I really do get excited about online. I love how quickly it advances and how you have to work hard to keep up. And I love showing clients exactly what each penny of their advertising budget is doing to their bottom line. It’s an incredible feeling helping someone grow their business and continually hit their targets.
