We were tasked with raising awareness and interest in Newcastle Gateshead as the place to go for a weekend break, using food and drink as a theme. We set out on a mission to get influential food and travel bloggers to generate engagement with the brand by sending them for a food-filled weekend in Newcastle Gateshead.
To find the right influencers for a campaign that needs to hit set KPI’s, we utilised our established outreach network: Zeal Buzz. Being one of the biggest and fastest growing networks of journalists, bloggers, influencers, and content creators, it was easy to get a brief out and get the right influencers buzzing at the opportunity.
After carefully selecting the best influencers with the right target audience for the campaign, we set out organising all the trip dates, making sure all influencers had everything at hand that they would need to generate the social media posts and blog posts required.
All influencers in the campaign were required to use the campaign hashtag #TheTyneIsNow in their social posts, and tag in @altweet_pet (Newcastle Gateshead’s amazing twitter handle) in their posts. This enabled us to track the reach of the campaign via our social media tracking and reporting platform Pulsar.
Our main KPI’s were social media posts and reach, as well as quality content generated for re-purposing on Newcastle Gateshead’s own channels.
