Creative and digital agency Zeal has won a competitive tender to develop a series of promotional tourism videos for North Wales, through the Regional Tourism Engagement Fund and Welsh Government partnership.
The videos will be used to promote and develop the counties of Anglesey, Gwynedd, Conwy, Flintshire, Denbighshire, and Wrexham as distinctive cruise and visitor destinations across North Wales.
The Leeds based agency was selected on the quality and creativity of their work with previous travel and tourism clients including Slow holiday specialists Inntravel, luxury ski chalet company TG Ski, and projects with Visit York and Newcastle Gateshead.
Zeal’s Visual Media Specialist, Pratheep Tharan, was brought up in Powys and trained as a filmmaker in the heart of the Welsh countryside, making this project a perfect fit.
He said; “I feel tremendously proud to be able to represent Wales through my passion for filmmaking, and I’m very excited to be able to show off the beautiful county!”
The video project will involve working alongside the six North Wales local authorities to challenge old perceptions of Wales by promoting their world-class products, events, experiences, people, places, and language in a creative way.
The agency is set to begin work on the project immediately, with a view to delivering the final video project in June.
