Some would say last week was an incredibly emotional week over on twitter with your mood thrown into a hurricane of feelings. A throwback to make you howl with laughter and a robbery to make you shiver with fear.  Here’s a summary of the weeks most important events, according to twitter!

It’s that time again where once a year the world goes wild digging out their army pants and flip flops, spraying on their baby prostitute perfume and binging on cheese fries because Monday saw the 12 year (wow, we feel old!) anniversary of the day teen heart throb Aaron Samuels asked Lindsey Lohan’s Mean Girls character Cady ‘What day is it?’  Yes, Monday was October 3rd. Monday was Mean Girls Day.

If you have never seen the noughties rom com classic then you must be one of very few as a remarkable 1,793,971 of you worldwide took to twitter to share you appreciation for Tina Fey’s totally grool film and celebrate the day now dubbed #MeanGirlsDay!

If you are part of the 0.01% and you haven’t already we strongly urge you to take a big slice of the Mean Girls cake, made of rainbows and smiles and WATCH the movie. We promise you won’t regret it.

P.S – We’re still waiting for fetch to happen.

Last Sunday night news broke that reality celebrity Kim Kardashian had been held at gun point and robbed of $8million worth of jewellery. The invaders dressed as Paris police as they raided her hotel room, tying her up and locking her in the bathroom.

The news spread like wild fire and very quickly became a controversial hot topic with a very clear divide of opinions. Some people were horrified that it had happened to anyone, celebrity or not and the other half speculating the possibility it could be a publicity stunt (after all, this is the girl who became famous after sharing her own sex tape with the world, was married for just 72 days and is worldwide reality royalty). Some people even believed she brought it on herself after being too public with her wealth on social media!

Over the next 5 days more speculations came about, possibilities it was an ‘inside job’ or something to do with her bodyguard were discussed and within just one week a phenomenal 19,975,971 tweets had been shared discussing #KimKardashian and her robbery worldwide!

It seems like the whole of Scotland took to twitter on Friday with #WeAreScotland taking its place as one of the day’s top tweets.

The hashtag was begun by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon as a counterpoint to “‘the Tories’ vision of Brexit Britain” and despite the fact the hashtag began circulating as a reaction to a political debate, the majority of twitter users chose to instead use the hashtag to show the world why they are proud to call Scotland home.

An amazing 34,604 tweets were posted in Scotland on Friday morning alone with Scots sharing personal stories and declaring their love for their country in an incredibly emotional and poignant way.

We can’t wait to see what this week’s top trends bring!
