The Digital Impact Awards 2019 was certainly an evening to remember. Shortlisted for our work with NHS Leeds CCG on the Big Thank You campaign in the ‘Best Use of Existing Social Media Platforms: Small Budget’ category we were up against some big household names.
The tenth annual Digital Impact Awards benchmarks digital communications in the corporate space and we joined nominees from across the 38 categories at the iconic Brewery on Chiswell Street, London for the event.
As our category drew closer the nerves set in. There was a lot of tough competition and some great campaigns…
We were absolutely delighted to walk away with the Gold Award for ‘Best Use of Existing Social Media Platforms: Small Budget’ for our NHS Leeds Big Thank You social media campaign!
“All the judges were impressed by the authenticity of message, the sheer breadth of research and the results achieved on such a small budget. “Great use of social influencers, really helping spread the winter heroes’ message – the amount of research and strategy to make the campaign a success was impressive,” said one.
“Excellent use of research and social media on a low budget, to drive awareness, increase in traffic to the campaign website and help lift morale at a difficult time. Good pure social campaign.”
The Big Thank You social media campaign was created to provide an opportunity for the people of Leeds to show their appreciation for the cities ‘Winter Heroes.’
To thank those amazing individuals from all walks of life – GP’s, nurses, hospital porters, carers, local bus drivers and neighbours who all make a huge difference to others in the big or small acts they do every day. To be recognised for our work on such a fulfilling and worthy campaign makes the win even more special.
Andrew Thomas, founder of the Digital Impact Awards, said, “This year was one of the most competitive of years in the history of the awards programme. This tenth annual awards signified the leaps and bounds that digital communications are continuing to make across the professional plateau. The sheer quality and character of the evening’s winners exemplifies not only the homogeneity of today’s digital communications, but equally its importance.”
A huge thank you to NHS Leeds CCG who bring unlimited enthusiasm and openness to embracing creative campaigns and pushing boundaries.
